oh yeah, it's friday! it's a stormy, rainy day here in portland, and i'm hanging with my boys in our pjs for a bit :) it's nice to to relax and take it easy in the morning. and it's even nicer that my hubbie and i get to have a nice date night on the town this evening! i hope you all have a wonderful weekend and i will see you on monday.

good morning! watch the Oscars last night? i confess i didn't watch the entire show, but i was so happy for Sandra Bullock and Kathryn Bigelow for their big wins! yay! i absolutely LOVED The Blind Side and can't wait to see the Hurt Locker.

and i couldn't help but notice more than just a couple gorgeous ladies were wearing fashions seen on Gown Fridays, Zoe Saldana in Givenchy and Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive to name a few. just as stunning on them as on the runways!! and i loved Rachel McAdams (seen above) in Elie Saab and Sarah Jessica Parker was couture chic in her pale yellow Chanel gown. oh my, i love it!!! who was your favorite??

i saw these cute pop-up paper placemats on What Junebug Loves the other day--made from recycled paper and available in multiple colors (i like how fresh and modern the white looks), these would be fun to use for you tabletop decor. they have a old fashioned baby buggie mat that would be perfect a baby shower! made by Publique Living.

bountiful blossoms

just days ago we had a greatly need break from the dreary rain of winter and the sun shined in the sky and opened up the cherry blossom trees in our neighborhood. there is a large purple one just outside my window--gorgeous! but as the rain has come back now (with a vengeance!) and it being march 1st (already!), i needed to look at some beautifully spring bouquets to remind me of what's to come! the bouquet below is actually made up of millinery flowers. extremely soft and sweet, don't you think?
